Tiger's song...

King Edward’s will live forever
As long as the Taiping Hills stands
King Edward’s will shine forever
For the glory of this land
In this year of our victory
We are proud of the days of yore
King Edward VII School we hail thee
You’ll be greater than before
King Edward VII School we hail thee
You’ll be greater than before
The Tigers will roar loud and full
Magni Nominis Umbra
The motto of our great school
Magni Nominis Umbra
Edwardians old and young tigers
Let’s unite in a song of glee
King Edward VII School forever
In Malaysia of the free
King Edward VII School forever
In Malaysia of the free

125th Anniversary of King Edward VII School, Taiping (1883-2008)

"ACHTUNG!!!!"

This 'great' news is specially dedicated to all Old Edwardians (OE), TIGERS we call them. Before that, let's read what is so great about this premier school.
King Edward VII School is a school in Taiping, Perak. It was previously known as Central School. Its name was changed by R. F. Stainer, the school's second headmaster to King Edward VII School in honour of King Edward VII, who was the king of United Kingdom at that time.

King Edward VII School - The Central School, started in 1883, was the first English school in the Malay States. It was renamed the King Edward VII School when the present building was opened in 1905. The angsana trees @ "pokok hujan-hujan" of "the most picturesque school ground in Malaya" were planted in 1910. The school excelled in sports, especially football, rugby, hockey and athletics. During the Japanese Occupation, the school was the base of the garrison commander who converted the classrooms into torture chambers and dup up the playgrounds to grow food.
